Introducing Erik Turnquist, our new Director of Racquet Sports!
Erik joins us from Orchid Island Golf and Beach Club in Vero Beach, Florida, where he was the Lead Tennis Professional and a Pickleball Professional. He previously worked in a seasonal capacity at John’s Island Club, Ocean Reef Club, and The Misquamicut Club in Rhode Island. Erik is a USPTA-certified Elite Tennis Professional and a USPTA-certified Pickleball Professional.
He attended Flagler College, where he was an NAIA All-American, playing #2 singles and #1 doubles, helping his team achieve 3rd and 7th place national finishes. He was also a Rolex Men’s Doubles Champion. As a junior tennis player, Erik ranked in the top 5 in singles in Florida, held the #1 spot in doubles, and was one of 16 players nationwide selected by the USTA to participate in the Junior Olympic Festival in Colorado Springs.
